BI X Digital: Pioneering the digital transformation of healthcare worldwide

We are a team team riding the wave of digitisation. We use digital innovation to accelerate the development of healthcare cures and the discovery of breakthrough treatments.

We are Boehringer Ingelheim's digital lab.

We are pioneers, going beyond what seems possible and exploring the green field of digital healthcare. Trying, failing, learning and trying again is how we learn and how we become better.

By harnessing the speed and intelligence of digital applications and analytics, our work will revolutionise drug trials and patient treatment worldwide. The scientists, coders and designers who work here help to improve the lives of millions. We are curious, eager and hands-on. We love challenges and thrive on collaborating with colleagues from all disciplines to bring ideas to life and create new and more effective forms of treatment.

As Boehringer Ingelheim's digital lab, we are part of the Boehringer Ingelheim Group, one of the world's top 20 pharmaceutical companies.

We come from all over the world and develop, test and prove new applications within months. We get to see our ideas grow: from mere concepts through first prototypes to market-ready solutions.

Pet Pro is an app that lets pet owners access pet health care services seamlessly, endorsed and entrusted by their veterinarian. They can contact their vet via messages and benefit from video consultation in between on-site appointments. In addition, pet owners can use a reward system for medications. Both pet owners and vets have easy access to the medical history of the pet at all times. To perfectly meet the needs of all users, BI X worked closely with clinics and pet parents during the development of the app. With pet clinics across the US being keen to join the PetPro network, PetPro is currently being introduced to the US market.
